Jacqui Katona has worked for several Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, media and campaigns and has a broad range of experience in issues affecting Indigenous communities, such as family removal and deaths in custody.

She is the worthy recipient of a range of awards, including the Australian Conservation Foundation's Peter Rawlinson Environmental Award and the Island Nations Goldman Environmental Prize.
